For talent or acting, Teenage Girl Agent?

Okay, so my Mom said, " you want to be famous, find yourself an agent, and i will take care if the rest" Well, I am looking for a good, reliable agent that will try to GET me SOMEWHERE!! Not one that will just sit there, you know? Any refrences? I need one that is near the Houston Area, or idk wht info is needed. Thanks!
